The event will take place on the streets of beautiful Downtown Victoria, beginning at the newly renovated DeLeon Plaza.

No, there will only be a 5K race, and the "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run this year.

Please arrive by 6:45 am to ensure time for parking. The 5K will start at 7:30 am.

Parking will be available in the O'Connor Plaza parking garage, and overflow parking is located at the Victoria County Tax Office at 205 N. Bridge Street, Victoria, Texas.

The start and finish line will take place in the newly renovated DeLeon Plaza located at 101 N. Main Street. The race course is mostly flat and partially shaded, running along the quiet and safe streets of beautiful Downtown Victoria, home of many historic and notable buildings.

Absolutely! Thanks to our Timing Sponsor, H-E-B, the race is chip-timed by RunFar Timing Co. Your chip will be attached to your bib number.

If you choose to run with a baby jogger, please place yourself at the back of the pack of runners. We ask that you take extra precaution for your safety, your child’s safety and for the safety of the runners around you. Pets, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, etc., are not permitted in the race.

Walkers are always welcome. For safety, please place yourself at the back of the pack of runners.

There will be a water station approximately half-way through the course.

No child care will be provided during the race.

Bottled water and fruit will be provided to all race participants after the race.

All proceeds stay LOCAL and benefit Young Life Victoria.

We thank you for your registration, which is a donation to Young Life Victoria. Sorry, but all registrations are final and we cannot give refunds. All persons registered will still receive a race packet and commemorative race t-shirt, regardless of participation.

Participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt and goody bag, while supplies last, and a race bib.

Register on or before March 1st to receive the discounted price of $35 for the 5K and $15 for the Kid’s Fun Run. Beginning March 2nd the price will increase to $40 for the 5K and $20 for the Kid’s Fun Run.

ALL proceeds stay local and benefit Young Life Victoria.

"Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run

Registration will be available on Race Day as well as at Packet Pick-Up. Registration will open at 6:00am on RACE DAY. Race shirts are only guaranteed to early registrants.

Online registration must be paid with a credit card. Registration at Packet Pick-Up and on race day may be paid with credit card, cash or check.

A race medal will be given to the top male and female Masters (40 years old and up) and winners in the 5K. A medal will be given to the top 3 male and female winners in each age group in the 5K. The age groups will be divided as follows: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20- 24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Yes, we do allow family/friends to pick up packets.

A family member or friend may pick up your packet or you can personally pick it up on-site race day beginning at 6:30 am prior to the start of the race.

Chick-fil-A Victoria is proud to be partnering with local author, Cheryl Johnson, on an exciting, new children's book created to help commemorate Victoria's Bicentennial Celebration: Charli's Adventure Journal, Destination: Victoria, Texas & Beyond. With journal in hand, join Charli on her travels near and far and sometimes even right at home, as she explores the history, culture, and different things to do at the places she visits. Written from a child's perspective, Charli opens the door to hidden adventures along with the culture and history of Victoria and the surrounding communities.

Every child that participates in the "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run will receive an advance copy of this new book in their race bag.

The "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run is for ages 10 years and under. The participants will be broken into two categories (ages 5 and under and ages 6-10) and will run in their age appropriate race.

All "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run participants get to enjoy and race through "FOAMED UP!" They will also receive a commemorative Kids Fun Run Race T-Shirt, a FREE Victoria Bicentennial Adventure Book, Goody Bag, Race Bib, and Kids Run Finisher's Medal.

The "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run start time is 9:00am. Please arrive by 8:30am. The Kids Fun Run will begin once the 5K race is finished, which is typically 9:00am.

The "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run starts at the same location as the start area of the 5K.

Please arrive by 8:30am if you are only participating in the "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run.

The "Running of the Calves" Kids Fun Run participants will be broken into two categories (ages 5 and under and ages 6-10) and will run a short age-appropriate distance.
